We took our trip to Miyajima on a beautiful late winter/early spring day in March. Steve, Nikki, and Steve's mom went with me.

Miyajima, is, of course, an island. ("jima" means island in Japanese, so whenever you see those letters at the end of the word, you know they're talking about an island. Another famous example--"Iwo Jima.") Anyway, the island is about 20 km from where Steve and Nikki leave, although driving on the small roads it still takes about an hour to get there.
