Konbanwan (kon-ban-wan): Good evening! Sayonara: Good bye!
Kanpai: (remember this one if you go out drinking!) Cheers! Gomen nasai (gomen-na-sai): I'm sorry
Arigato (a-ri-ga-to): Thank you. You can also stick "domo" in front of it (domo arigato) or gozimasu (goy-zay-mas) at the end for more proper (arigato gozimas).
